· Brief Description: |
I’m looking to move out of my apartment in Stuyvesant Town in January (pro rata estimate) or by Feb 1st. I’ve lived in StuyTown the last 6yrs. I am looking at subleting my lease to it expires on 5/31/2009 at my rate of $3375, or establishing a new 1yr lease starting 2/1st for a year at $3540. I\'ve cleared all these prices with the Stuyvesant Town Management office. This should be ideal for 2nd semester NYU students. Move into StuyTown as a number of ther NYU students have and pay much less even if it\'s for just the 2nd semester.
StuyTown’s website is very detailed below for all relevant info and pictures since yes I don’t have a digital camera:

Points to Consider
For Who
From NYU students starting 2nd semester, to families who are looking for a family communal environment with playgrounds, parks, and events (See “Oval Amenities” on the website film, kids, study, lounge) who are NOT interested in paying north of 6k for 2BR central park locations. Management has also attempted to make StuyTown more college friendly with buses to Hunter Mountain every Sunday, wine tasting events to, a new gym (OvalFitness – see below).
Why is my Apartment one of the BEST in StuyTown
• My rent is ~$1000k below market rate – 2BRs on First Ave start ~4300k
• I’m located on 18th and First Ave, one building in from the road so the traffic noise is non-existent. 10min walk to Union Square, and 2 blocks from the L Train as opposed to being on 18th and C which is also considered StuyTown, with a 20min walk to Union Sq. The difference from Ave C to 1st Ave is similar to living on Lexington as opposed to 1st Ave. Definitely a big difference.
• StuyTown Concierge desk is located in MY building – there is only 1 for ALL StuyTown. Basically like having the doorman in my building.
• Living room view of the Empire State Building.
• Basketball courts outside my back door.
